Aerosystems International (AeI) has been awarded a contract by GKN Automotive Driveline.

GKN Automotive Driveline is a leader with ETM (Electric Torque Manager), a new and sophisticated product that gives improved control of a vehicle despite difficult driving conditions.

AeI is working with GKN Automotive Driveline to develop software quality standards, deliver software code and provide documentation meeting the demanding requirements of GKN's initial production customers. AeI's skills are particularly well suited to this safety critical application.

Scott Roy Managing Director, AeI, "We have known for some time that the skills and expertise we have applied to the Aerospace sector could easily apply to other sectors. Recently a number of automotive companies have been looking at the demands of increasing levels of software integration across their industry as they recognise that the aerospace sector has already gone through the pain and come out the other side with systems that will perform. We are thrilled to be working with GKN Automotive Driveline and are looking forward to a long and successful partnership"
GKN Automotive Driveline is a world-leading supplier of driveline components supplying major vehicle manufactures across the globe. GKN Automotive Driveline is the world leader in the design and manufacture of driveline system products with more than 42 per cent of the global market for constant velocity jointed sideshafts.

Aerosystems International is a leading company in the analysis, design, development and delivery of complex, software intensive systems for the aerospace industry. It also develops cutting edge systems and smart technologies for various industrial applications.

"On behalf of the entire Boeing C-17 team, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our efforts in securing the lease of four aircraft to the Royal Air Force(RAF). This is a significant victory, made possible in large part because of your work on our behalf, and we believe it paves the way for additional such programs in other countries. It is the benchmark and our collective performance will be watched closely around the world."

David Spong
Vice President-General Manager, Airlift & Tanker Programs, Boeing.
