High tech company opens doors to local Malvern pupils.

Aerosystems International, based at Malvern's Enigma Business Park, recently opened its doors to two pupils from Dyson Perrins CE High School. Elizabeth Crowther and Matthew Lavaggi spent their work experience week at AeI learning about some of the systems and tools used in the development of tactical communications systems.

Communications Manager, Emma Taylor, comments, "Aerosystems recognises the importance of introducing young people to the high tech opportunities that lie within the aerospace and defence industry. As a company we are delighted to be able to help local schools and colleges with this educational process. We are exploring new ways of bringing school leavers directly into the company and possibly assisting them into college"

Taking part in another educational scheme with AeI is Chris Allsopp. Chris has finished his school career, successfully gaining four "A" levels, and has been offered a place at Nottingham University to read Computer Science. Chris has opted to take a year out and through The Royal Academy of Engineering's Year in Industry scheme has a year's contract working with AeI. During that time he will gain experience in the work place in his chosen subject - he is currently working on a mobile communication system.

Aerosystems International (AeI) is a world-class company specialising in design, development and delivery of software intensive systems for the aerospace, defence, transport and process industries. Customers include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BP, MoD, BAE SYSTEMS and GKN serviced by the company.

"On behalf of the entire Boeing C-17 team, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our efforts in securing the lease of four aircraft to the Royal Air Force(RAF). This is a significant victory, made possible in large part because of your work on our behalf, and we believe it paves the way for additional such programs in other countries. It is the benchmark and our collective performance will be watched closely around the world."
