Aerosystems certifications
AeI is committed to providing Quality Products and Services. The group aims to meet all applicable standards and best practice for our chosen markets.
We
are, of course, certified to ISO9001 and TickIT. We successfully
transitioned to ISO9001:2000 in December 2002, one year ahead of
schedule. We are also one of only 30 companies in the UK to be
certified to AS9100 (Revision A), the aerospace sector scheme qualification.
We
are able to meet BS7799 for information systems security. BS7799
is the recognised security standard across many market sectors,
including banking and finance. We are also a Design Approved Organisation
for the UK Ministry of Defence for airborne data capture systems.
Our
processes are designed to meet the exacting standards of the aerospace
industry, and enable us to deliver mission and safety critical
projects across many market sectors, including automotive and railways.
Our project processes are tailorable to specific industry and customer
requirements, whilst still retaining our underlying, proven approach
to project management and control.

As part of our commitment to our staff we meet the Investors in People standard.
Our software and systems skills are critical to our business. We have fully embraced the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMIŽ) and achieved a formal Level 5 rating in December 2006. This powerful model enables organisations to assess their process maturity, and provides a framework for process improvement. The CMMI is used across the world to benchmark capability. We were the first UK based company to reach level 5 for software and systems engineering, according to the SEI's published database.
