How to apply
Ideally, if you could spend some time writing a short covering letter to
add to your CV, outlining why you want to work for us, and what you think
you have to offer in terms of your key skills and attributes this would really
help us to get a better overall picture of you.
You're also welcome to call us to chat through any questions or issues you
may have in advance. You don't have to, but it might save time at a later
date.
If you have not heard from us regarding your application within 4 weeks of applying, please be advised that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
If you have passed the initial assessment phase, we will circulate your CV around our Business Areas, which may take a little time, because we like to give it a thorough review we will then let you know if you have been shortlisted for interview - usually by phone. Sometimes we might do a small interview over the phone to clarify a few points - the more info you give us the more likely you are to be shortlisted. Please have a look at the vacancy notices linked to each job title and tell us why you think you fit the bill.
Interview
Normally you will be seen by a line manager and an experienced member of the
team. The object of the interview will be to ascertain whether your skills
and background fit what we are looking for, and whether the role you are applying
for is what you are seeking. Remember, an interview is always a two-way process
and we will expect you to have lots of questions too.
Offers
We aim to make all hiring decisions within a maximum of 2 weeks from the date
of your interview, once we have had a chance to assess all applicants. So
someone will be in touch with you after the event.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Please email your CV, stating preferred vacancies to Abi Hubbard at jobs@shsl.co.uk
or fax it on 01935 443111.
